Today Netflix, announced that they have ordered twenty episodes of Disenchantment, an adult animated comedy fantasy series from the creator of the Simpsons Matt Groening.
In Disenchantment, will bring viewers into the world of a crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, where they will follow the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean, her feisty elf companion Elfo, and her personal demon Luci. Along the way, the oddball trio will encounter, sprites, ogres, imps, harpies, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.
“Ultimately,” says Matt Groening, “Disenchantment will be about life and death, love and sex, and how to keep laughing in a world full of suffering and idiots, despite what the elders and wizards and other jerks tell you.”
Disenchantment will be released on Netflix ten episodes at a time. The show ill premier in 2018, and will be produced by The ULULU Company, with Matt Groening and Josh Weinstein serving as executive producers.
