Yesterday DIRECTV NOW rolled out their new Roku Channel that offered a free month of DIRECTV NOW. Yet there are a few hoops you need to jump through in order to get the free month.

First the new DIRECTV NOW Roku channel is only available on select Roku devices – Roku TV 4K models, the Roku Ultra, Roku Premiere+, Roku Premiere, Roku Express, Roku Express+, Roku Streaming Stick (model 3600R), Roku 4, Roku 3 and Roku 2 (model 4210).

Second to get the free month of DIRECTV NOW you can not have already tried DIRECTV NOW in the past.

Third to get the free month make sure to follow the instructions carefully. On your Roku you will see a promo code for the free month. As you signup for your DIRECTV NOW account on the DIRECTV NOW website you need to enter the promo code. If you forget to enter the promo code you will only get the 7 day free trial.

Here is the breakdown of the different DIRECTV NOW packages:

  • Live a Little: 60+ channels: $35 a month
  • Just Right: 80+ channels: $50 a month
  • Go Big: 100+ channels: $60 a month
  • Gotta Have It: 120+ channels: $70 a month
