The Roku SE first appeared as a Black Friday deal last November. Now it is back and once again is just $24.99 at select stores.
Thanks to a reader of Cord Cutters News we see that some discount stores are selling the Roku SE for just $24.99 this fall. In this case we were sent an ad from Ollie’s Bargain Outlet just outside of the Detroit Metro area. You may want to check out your local discount stores to see if they are selling the Roku SE for $24.99.
The Roku SE is effectively a Roku 1 with a different case and different remote quick buttons and a different case. According to the ad the Roku SE is a factory reconditioned device offering 1080p video. You will also get access to nearly 3,000 Roku channels offering more than 300,000 movies and TV episodes.
Here is what comes with the Roku SE:
- SE streaming player
- Remote with 2 AAA batteries
- Power adapter
- Owner’s manual
Roku PR sent us the following statement about the Roku SE when it was first released:
“The Roku SE will run the new Roku OS 7 with all the features of the new Roku OS 7.”
