Sling TV Adds Support For More Devices

Sling TV today became the first live and on-demand OTT service available on LG Smart TVs. Sling TV now supports most 2016 webOS 3.0 Smart TV models, and will be available on LG’s 2017 webOS 3.5 enabled-models in the coming months.

  • Easily add Sling TV to your LG Smart TV – Now you can watch live and on-demand content from Sling TV on your LG Smart TV without the hassle of streaming boxes or switching inputs. To download Sling TV, look for the Sling TV app in the LG launcher bar, or press “Home,” select “Go to LG Content Store” and search “Sling.”
  • Sign up for Sling TV in-app– New customers can sign up for Sling TV directly from the app on their LG Smart TV and can create their own entertainment experience without leaving their TV screen.
  • Customize your at-home viewing experience – With Sling TV, can create your own TV experience, just the way you want it. Customize your viewing experience on your LG smart TV by subscribing to Sling Orange ($20/mo), Sling Blue ($25/mo), exploring our Extras in genres like kids, sports, news, movies, comedies and more.

    Sony should be smart and include PS Vue in Sony TV’s. They actually have a better chance than Sling since Sony TVs are the most popular along with Samsung. And they use Android which makes development, a piece of cake.

    I remember at CES 2015 when they announced the Sling TV service they said “coming soon to LG TVs” It’s good to see their idea of coming soon is way different then mine. Only two years to get this going and almost the same amount of time for CSN to show up. So coming soon means 1-2 years.
