SlingOne thing you can say about Sling TV is they are aggressively adding new features. In just the last week they have had several major announcements.

So here is a quick recap of all the Sling TV news.

Pac-12 Networks

Sling TV recently added all six new Pac-12 Network channels. All six Pac-12 Network regional feeds, which collectively offer live coverage of 800 sporting events, are available on both Sling Orange and Sling Blue. Customers who subscribe to the “Sports Extra,” can watch all of the Pac-12 Network’s broadcasted games regardless of their location.

“Students, alumni and Pac-12 fans can now enjoy conference games without regional restrictions,” said Roger Lynch, CEO of Sling TV. “With Sling TV, Pac-12 Networks games have never been more affordable and accessible. As a Pac-12 fan, I can’t wait to watch the ‘Conference of Champions,’ on Sling TV – the premier destination for college sports fans.”

STARZ

Sling TV also added a new STARZ add-on, which will feature original series, first-run movies, and other premium movie and television content from STARZ and STARZ ENCORE. The STARZ add-on will be available for $9 per month with a subscription to either Sling Orange or Sling Blue.

“The addition of STARZ and STARZ ENCORE’s extensive movie library and original programming like ‘Power’ and ‘Outlander’ makes Sling TV an even more attractive option for movie buffs and TV lovers,” said Glenn Eisen, chief marketing officer of Sling TV. “By integrating this premium content into the Sling TV experience, STARZ fans can access their favorite movies and TV shows in addition to popular live and on-demand programs from top networks, all in a single interface.”

This is the first time that ESPN3 is integrated directly within a pay-TV provider’s channel guide. Sling TV also launched SEC Network+, a digital channel for additional SEC Network live events, allowing customers to switch between multiple SEC games airing simultaneously.

With ESPN3, Sling TV subscribers will also get access to college football games on ABC through the ESPN3 simulcast on Sling TV.

“Adding ESPN3 and SEC Network+ into our guide means sports fans now have access to some of the most intense athletic match-ups of the year in one place,” said Roger Lynch, CEO of Sling TV. “With Sling TV, fans can sign-up for our service and begin watching the game within minutes and keep up with their favorite team all season long.”

Campus Insiders

As college football was kicking off Sling TV added Campus Insider to their sports package. The Campus Insiders Network airs games from Conference USA, Mountain West Conference, Patriot League and West Coast Conference.

Sling TV now has an official Windows 10 app making it the only live streaming service to support Windows 10 at this time.

Sling TV customers will notice several features unique to the new Windows 10 app:

  • Live Tiles. Easily see content from Favorites and Continue Watching ribbons when Sling TV is pinned to the Start Menu.
  • Cortana Voice Integration. Quickly search for specific shows or channels by voice with Cortana, Microsoft’s personal digital assistant.
  • Vertical Menu. Feel right at home with a vertical Main Menu.
  • Responsive User Interface. Sling TV on Windows 10 uses a responsive user interface, so the video automatically adapts to different sizes and snaps the app to use only half of the screen.
  • Touch Compatibility. Sling TV works on both touch and non-touch Windows 10 devices.
