Today Roku started selling stock on NASDAQ. Roku is listed on NASDAQ under the ticker of ROKU.

Roku also as of January 2017 accounts for 13% of all smart TV sales in the United States. A huge jump in sales from just a few years ago when they had 0% of the market.

Now today you can finally own part of Roku.  Roku says they have about 15.1 million accounts and stream quarterly 3.5 billion hours of content, which is up 60% year-over-year. Roku had a net income of $3.2 million in the fourth quarter of 2017.

The stock started at $14 and quickly shot up 30.5% to $18.27 at the time of this posting. Roku is the leader int he US market for streaming players with a quickly growing smart TV market.
