A hurricane on earth viewed from space. This is a rendered image. The United States could see our first category 5 hurricane in a very long time. To help you stay on top of everything that is happening we put together a quick guide on how to keep track of Irma without the need for cable TV:

The Weather Channel

The Weather Channel is still the most watched weather service in America. Cord cutters can now legally watch the Weather Channel without paying for cable TV.

Both DIRECTV NOW and Fubo TV offer a live feed of the Weather Channel. The best part is they both offer a free 7-day trial so you can test them out. Not only will you get the Weather Channel, but you will find many other great news and information channels.

WeatherNation

Looking for something other than the Weather Channel? Check out WeatherNation, a free 24/7 news channel available on every major streaming player such as the Roku, Fire TV, and Apple TV.

Local Weather

Local weather is often the best weather to see what is happening in your hometown. The first option is always a great antenna to get your local station. Not sure what locals you can get? Check out AntennaRecommendations.com to see what kind of antenna you will need. (During Hurricane Harvey, many cable networks went out but over the air TV stayed on the air.)

Sadly locals are not always available over the air. NewsON is a free service currently available on Roku and many smart phones. With NewsON you can stream your local news for free live and on demand, giving you access to all the news you need every day.
