A few days ago we posted 5 cord cutting stories we are keeping an eye on for 2018. Thanks to our readers, we found 5 more stories you should keep an eye on in 2018.

So here is our second list of top 5 stories to keep an eye on in 2018.

#1 The Fire Cube

A few months ago we learned that Amazon was working on two new Fire TV players. One was a dongle-like streaming box with attached HDMI cable; the other player was a cube-like Fire TV with a built-in Echo Dot to access all things Alexa without the need to use the Fire TV remote.

The dongle-like Fire TV was released a few months ago and is called the Fire TV generation 3. So far Amazon has not talked about the cube-like Fire TV player, but all reports are that Amazon will be coming out with it in early 2018.

#2 T-Mobile Live TV Streaming Service

Not to be outdone by AT&T and Verizon, T-Mobile recently announced plans to “disrupt” the world of pay TV. To do so they bought the pay-TV company Layer 3.

How exactly they will do this is still unknown, but T-Mobile says it will happen in 2018.
