A Second Smaller New Nvidia Shield Just Went Up For Sale on Newegg

Earlier today a new Nvidia Shield went up for sale on Amazon for a short time before it was removed from the site. That Nvidia Shield looked a lot like the current-gen but with a new remote. Now a brand new smaller stick like Nvidia shield is now listed for sale on Newegg for $199.

This smaller version also costs $199 and comes with 8 GB of storage, Android TV, a micro SD card slot, and an Nvidia Tegra X1+ processor. Sadly though this does not seem to be a stick like a Roku or Fire TV stick as it has a standard HDMI port on the device and it is over 6″ long.

The new remote comes with a motion-activated backlit button, lost-remote locator, IR for TV control, and Nvidia is switching from a built-in rechargeable and the watch like batteries to now use 2 AAA batteries to power the remote. You will also find a new Netflix quick launch button newly added to the remote.

There are some hints this might not be an accurate listing. For example, the price is the same as the far more powerful Nvidia Shield, and it lists both iOS and Android under operating system. It could be this was an early draft that was published by mistake.

Here is how Newegg Describes The New Nvidia Shield Stick:
