BLACK-ISH - ABC's new family comedy, "black-ish," takes a fun yet bold look at one man's determination to establish a sense of cultural identity for his family. The series stars Anthony Anderson, Tracee Ellis Ross and special guest star Laurence Fishburne. (ABC/Adam Taylor) MARSAI MARTIN, MARCUS SCRIBNER, YARA SHAHIDI, ANTHONY ANDERSON, MILES BROWN, TRACEE ELLIS ROSSToday Disney’s ABC Television Group announced it has signed more than 160 stations for its Clearinghouse initiative designed to get the network and its affiliates available on more streaming services like DIRECTV NOW.

Those stations are now either on or are about to be carried on the ABC app, and such digital carriers as DIRECTV NOW, PlayStation Vue, YouTube TV and Century Link’s new streaming service.

The stations owned that agreed to the deal include Sinclair Broadcast Group, Hearst Television, Tegna and E.W. Scripps.

“We are committed to digital distribution solutions that benefit the local/national relationship and the value it brings to consumers, so this is a real win for us, our affiliates and our video partners,” said Ben Sherwood, Disney Media Networks Co-Chair and Disney|ABC Television Group President, in a statement.  “I’m extremely proud of our team’s continued leadership and hard work in creating innovative business opportunities that move both our company and the entire industry forward.”

Details are still thin and no time table was announced for when these new ABC affiliates will show up on your favorite streaming service. Yet this is very good news for any cord cutter who struggles to get ABC with a antenna.
