After a short run on Peacock, all eight of the original WarnerBros. Harry Potter movies are returning to their home at HBO Max.

The Boy Who Lived and his Hogwarts classmates will be returning to the streaming service on September 1, 2021 with the franchise in its entirety, including “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets,” “Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban,” “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire,” “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” Parts 1 and 2.

HBO Max originally had the movies in its library at the time of its May 2020 launch, but that only lasted three months before licensing moved to NBC Universal’s Peacock in October where they’ve been ever since.

Now, almost one year later, all eight of the magical movies will be returning to HBO Max.

The films were originally released in theaters between 2001 and 2011 and are the third highest grossing movie franchise, behind Marvel and Star Wars.

Also coming to HBO Max in September are two films with simultaneous theater and streaming releases – Clint Eastwood’s “Cry Macho” on September 17 and James Wan’s “Malignant” on September 10. Both will be available for HBO Max subscribers with the $14.99/month ad-free plan.
