Amazon Alexa Adds Pandora Premium

Beautiful fashion girl learning on line with a tablet and headphones sitting on a bench in the streetGood news for Pandora Premium subscribers. Starting today you can now use Pandora Premium through your Alexa-enabled devices.

“Premium users can now play their favorite songs, albums and playlists with simple Alexa voice commands, providing for the ultimate hands-free music experience this holiday season. Whether you’re cleaning the house to impress your in-laws, carving a Thanksgiving turkey, or opening presents with the kids, you can trust Pandora to seamlessly deliver your personal holiday soundtrack when you need it the most.” Pandora said in a statement on their website.

The downside to this is we found in our office that we are now struggling to get Pandora to play our custom stations form our standard Pandora membership. We have been able to get our custom stations to play through our Alexa powered devices by launching them from the Amazon Alexa app on iOS and Android. In the past, we could ask Alexa to play our Christmas station on Pandora and our custom Christmas station would play. Now we get a generic Christmas station from Pandora. Hopefully, Pandora addresses that issue shortly.
