Today Amazon announced that they have agreed to acquire eero a company that makes whole-home WiFi routers. As Amazon movies into streaming and smart home devices offering WiFi seems to be a perfect fit for Amazon’s business model.

Right now eero kit starts with 1 base station and 1 beacon for $299. It will be interesting to see what happens once they are owned by Amazon.
