1401x788-mozart-in-the-jungleLove Amazon Prime? Well, now it is even better with the addition of 400,000 new songs to their lineup. Amazon Prime not only gives you free 2-day shipping, thousands of movies, TV shows and free photo storage, now they give you over 2.2 million songs.

Last week Prime Music offered about 1.8 million songs. It seems as part of the deals they struck to get their new Music Unlimited service Amazon Prime members will get a new benefit of an additional 400,000 new songs.

While Amazon Prime Music is offering 2.2 million songs, Amazon Music Unlimited is offering “tens of millions of songs”. Prime music is often made up of older songs, but Amazon Music Unlimited promises “new releases from today’s most popular artists.”

Amazon has really made Prime a great service for many and at just $8.25 a month, if you prepay for a year, you get a lot for your money. Yet, it will be interesting to see if Amazon moves to offer a service similar to Amazon Unlimited for their video content. I think many would pay a premium to get access to everything on Amazon Video including the next day content.
