Facebook Portal 2

Do you own Facebook’s Portal smart home device? Soon not only will you be able to call your Facebook friends but also watch TV thanks to Amazon and Facebook Live.

Just weeks after Amazon announced that Amazon Prime Video is coming to Android TV it is also coming to Facebook’s Portal service. This means you will be able to access all of your Amazon shows and movies on one more device. At the time we didn’t know when but now in an interview with TechHive Google says that will happen this summer.

Facebook also announced that Facebook Portal would be adding support for Facebook Live. Allowing Facebook users to stream live directly from their Facebook Portal device.

This all moves Facebook Portal away from just being a device that made calls to a far more usfal device to take on the Amazon Echo and Google Home smart home displays.
