Fleabag was a big winner for Amazon at the Emmy’s, earning six awards. Now, Amazon has signed an overall deal with the star of Fleabag, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, to create new television content for Amazon Studios which will be exclusive to Amazon Prime Video.
“I’m insanely excited to be continuing my relationship with Amazon,” said Waller-Bridge. “Working with the team on Fleabag was the creative partnership dreams are made of. It really feels like home. I can’t wait to get going!”
In addition to the incredibly successful Fleabag, Waller-Bridge is also the creator of Killing Eve from BBC America, along with being a writer and showrunner on the first season. Other writing credits include Crashing and Broadchurch. With this deal, Amazon will be benefiting from Waller-Bridge’s acting, writing, and producing talents.
