AmEx Customers Can Get 6% Cash Back for Streaming Subscriptions

We are in partnership with The Points Guy network and a commission may be earned if you apply and are approved for a card.

If you’re a Blue Cash Preferred® Card from American Express customer, make sure you’re putting your card to use. The credit card offers 6% cash back on select streaming subscriptions in the U.S., giving users a chance to save even more with cord cutting.

Here’s the full list of streaming services that qualify for 6% cash back.

  • Amazon Music Unlimited
  • Apple Music
  • Apple TV+
  • AT&T TV Now

Note that bundled services and those paid for through a third party may not be eligible.

You’ll also get 6% cash back at U.S. supermarkets (on the first $6,000 in purchases per year; then 1%), 3% on transportation and at U.S. gas stations, and 1% on everything else.

There is a downside. This card comes with a $95 annual fee, so make sure the benefits outweigh the cost for you if this is a card you’re considering.
