Apple has signed a first-look TV deal with Ridley Scott’s film and television production company, Scott Free Productions.
Variety reports that after a competitive process to get the company’s signature, it will be developing global television projects for Apple TV+ under the multi-year agreement. Each project will be spearheaded and executive produced by Ridley Scott and Scott Free’s core executive team of David Zucker, Clayton Krueger and Jordan Sheehan.
This ensures streaming content is in the pipeline from another well-established name in the biz. The 25-year-old Scott Free has produced hit film and TV titles such as Gladiator, Top Gun, The Martian, The Good Wife, The Good Fight, The Man in the High Castle and The Terror. Ridley Scott, himself also famously directed Apple’s “1984” commercial and is set to direct the new HBO Max series, Raised by Wolves.
