AppleTVThe idea of this new Smart TV Guide called Apple TV is that Apple wants to make it easier to find and watch video content without requiring users to sift through a bunch of apps. Instead, Apple’s guide will aggregate shows and movies that are available and then send users directly to that content via deep links. The feature is will work on the Apple TV 4th Generation streaming boxes as well as on other iOS devices like iPhones.

However, according to industry sources, Netflix, which has worked closely with Apple in the past, will not work with this Smart TV Guide. It will also help you find content for sale on iTunes.

Apple TV will also allow you to search for live events on Apple TV with Siri voice search. Just ask for a event or ask it to launch a app and Siri will search through all supported apps like WatchESPN to find a football game.

The TV app will be available for free with a software update in December.
