If you own an Apple TV, iPhone, or iPad and don’t have the Apple TV app, you may want to give it a second look.

Last week Apple added news to their Apple TV app. You will find live news broadcasts from CNN, Fox News, Cheddar, Bloomberg, and CNBC are, at this time, the only services supported. Look for others to likely be added in the future.

There are a few catches. You must not only have the Apple TV app but also the news network’s app to access the content. Also if you don’t have the app authenticated, don’t look to suddenly find the premium content that is hidden behind a paywall.

The addition of news to the Apple TV app makes jumping back and forth between news sources easy. Now you can get multiple viewpoints on a single story without the need to leave the Apple TV app.
