Apple TV + LogoApple TV+ is continuing to build its original content lineup, now adding a new drama series starring Gary Oldman.

Slow Horses will be based on the British Slough House book series by Mick Herron. The series will focus on a group of British intelligence agents suffering from failed careers. The group is sent to the Slough House department, a dumping ground of MI5.

The series will be written by Veep writer Will Smith who will also executive produce alongside Graham Yost, Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Gail Mutrux and Douglas Urbanski.

With 8 books in the series, there is plenty of opportunity for the Apple TV+ series to build an audience and share the stories of this espionage drama.

Apple TV+ is currently available for $4.99/month. The new streaming service has original series including Dickinson, The Morning Show, and See. No word yet on when Slow Horses will be added to the lineup.
