Apple TV+ is Coming to Chromecast in 2021

Google announced today that the Apple TV app will launch on Chromecast with Google TV early next year. With the launch, Chromecast with Google TV users will be able to watch Apple TV+ with a subscription. The update also makes the new Chromecast one of the few streaming devices compatible with all major streaming services.

On Apple TV+, subscribers will find original content including TV shows, movies, and documentaries. Some popular titles include “Ted Lasso,” “The Morning Show,” “Defending Jacob,” “Greyhound” and “Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special.” Through the app, subscribers can also access their digital movie collection from Apple and subscribe to premium channels. With Family Sharing, up to six family members can share an account.

The Apple TV app on Chromecast with Google TV will begin rolling out early next year with more devices powered by Android TV OS being added in the future.
