For months AT&T has been saying they plan to merge DIRECTV NOW and DIRECTV. Recently they merged the AT&T logins with the DIRECTV NOW logins.

This week AT&T started to move the DIRECTV NOW login page over to the A&T login page. Now AT&T has added DIRECTV NOW to the My AT&T app.

As of now, the app does nothing for DIRECTV NOW. When you open the My DIRECTV NOW tab on the My AT&T app you find the following note: “We’re working hard to integrate management of all of your services within myAT&T, but for now, your account is still managed on DIRECTV NOW.”

So far, we know AT&T has merged the DIRECTV NOW and AT&T apps. AT&T has also started to test a new DIRECTV app that is built off of the DIRECTV NOW app.

How far AT&T plans to take the DIRECTV NOW and AT&T merger is really unknown right now. Though it looks like they are getting close to whatever their end goal is.
