Recently AT&T TV announced that it will go live nationwide in February 2020 according to AT&T Communications CEO Jeff McElfresh speaking at the Barclays Global TMT Conference late last year. Now before the service even goes nationwide AT&T has started to promote the $64.99 bundle over the $59.99 bundle.

You can still get the $59.99 bundle with AT&T TV but AT&T is no longer marketing it on its homepage. Instead, they are pushing the more expensive $64.99 bundle.

AT&T TV is currently only available in a handful of markets including CA: Orange, Riverside | FL: Fort Lauderdale, Miami, West Palm Beach | KS: Topeka, Wichita | MN: Minneapolis | MO: St. Louis, Springfield | NY: New York | TX: Corpus Christi, El Paso, Odessa | WA: Seattle, Tacoma.

AT&T TV starts at $59.99 for 12 months with a 24-month contract. After the first 12 months, the package goes up to $94 a month. (The high-end AT&T TV packages will start at $135 a month in the second year.) You will also have to pay a $19.95 activation fee plus an $8.49/mo regional sports fee if you have the $69.99 a month package that includes RSNs. (You can find a full TV channel list here.)

AT&T TV does come bundled with on AT&T TV Android TV-powered streaming device that is free, but the second device costs $10 a month or $120 for life. After that device, you can use the AT&T TV app on other devices like the Apple TV and Fire TV.

Here are the legal details you need to know about with the new AT&T TV service:

Legal details: *$19.95 ACTIVATION, EARLY TERMINATION FEES ($15/MO. FOR TV; $15/MO. FOR INTERNET) FOR EACH MONTH REMAINING ON AGMT., INTERNET EQUIPMENT NON-RETURN & ADD’L FEES APPLY. Price incl. AT&T TV Pkg., 1 AT&T TV device. Bundle price includes Wi-Fi Gateway & is after $10/mo. bundle discount on TV for up to 12 mos. Pay $10/mo. more than above prices until discount starts w/in 3 mos. New approved residential customers only. Restr’s apply.

AT&T TV is built on the AT&T TV NOW backend using the same apps but is a different service. Just like how DIRECTV and DIRECTV NOW had similar names but different packages, rules, and features AT&T TV and AT&T TV NOW are two very different services.

Correction earlier this post said the price of AT&T TV was going up. The truth is AT&T is now promiting its $64.99 version of AT&T TV instead of the $59.99 version.
