AT&T Rolls Out Fiber in 4 New Metro Areas

Today AT&T announced that they have rolled out their AT&T Fiber Internet in 4 new metro areas today.  Now if you live in or around  Columbus, Ga., Lafayette, La., Montgomery, Ala. and Macon, Ga you can now get access to AT&T Fiber internet.

AT&T now offers Fiber internet to over 6 million locations across 61 metro areas. AT&T says they plan to roll out fiber to at least 7 million locations by the end of 2017.

“An ultra-fast internet connection powered by AT&T Fiber lets you quickly access and stream the latest online movies, music, and games. You can easily telecommute, video-conference, upload and download photos and videos, and connect faster to the cloud.” AT&T said in a statement on their website.

AT&T went on to say “Eligible locations can choose from a range of internet speed plans on our 100% fiber network designed to deliver the same speeds up and down. These plans include AT&T Internet 50, AT&T Internet 100 and AT&T Internet 1000.

No date on when new markets will roll out but it should be happening in the next few months.
