Briefly, over the weekend AT&T TV NOW offered a $5 a month Movies Extra add-on that offered access to 9 additional channels. Sadly, AT&T has removed this package from the AT&T TV NOW website, and according to several of our readers, AT&T is issuing full refunds to anyone who subscribed to the $5 a month Movies Extra add-on.
With this $5 a month add-on you gained access to Crime+ Investigation, Hallmark Drama, Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, HDNet Movie, MGM HD, MTV Live, ShortsTV, and the Smithsonian Channel.
Here is how AT&T describes the add-on:
Get your movie fix with classics and favorites from MGM, Sony Movie Channel, and HDNET Movies. Discover new mysteries with Hallmark Movies & Mysteries, and Hallmark Drama. Stream shows like Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman on Hallmark Drama, newly added to Movies Extra Pack. Enjoy the latest from Crime & Investigation, Smithsonian Channel, ShortsTV, and MTV Live. All ready to stream on any device.
AT&T has declined to comment on exactly what happened, but it is possible this package was meant for AT&T TV not AT&T TV NOW. DIRECTV has offered this package for some time now, but it was never offered to DIRECTV NOW subscribers, now called AT&T TV NOW.
