directv now logoRecently AT&T has been busy rebranding DIRECTV NOW to AT&T TV NOW. Now DIRECTV NOW’s official twitter account has posted a message letting subscribers know they have an exciting announcement on its way.

Update: Tech Crunch is now reporting that AT&T TV NOW will start its official roll out replacing the DIRECTV NOW name.

What do we know about this? As best we can tell the new look will likely be about the new AT&T TV NOW rebranding. As for the annoucnment that is unknown but probably will be about AT&T TV and/or AT&T TV NOW.

This announcement could also be tired to the retirement of the DIRECTV NOW Help Twitter account that was announced yesterday:

AT&T had warned that DIRECTV NOW apps will start to be updated to the new AT&T TV NOW. It is possible that AT&T is now ready to start that mass rollout to Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, and more.

This is breaking news, and Cord Cutters News will post more updates as we learn more.
