Also if you purchase any Roku @ Walmart free one month trial of Showtime. “Purchase a new Roku streaming player or Roku TV from Walmart or and activate your device between 10/28/17 and 1/7/18 and you
may be eligible for a 1 month free trial of SHOWTIME.”

It looks like BB will have a limited number of 4K 50″ Sharp/Roku Tv’s for $180 on 11/23. I have the 50″ Sharp/Roku in 1080, snagged one at BB last January for $220, been quite happy with it. Even without a 4K device we went over the Comcast 1TB data cap by .2 and .5TB In January and February (Snowpocalypse 17′ binge watching).

I bought the Samsung SmartThings Smart Home Hub from Amazon I have been eyeing for a year for $50. (It was $100 not that long ago and had been on sale before but I missed it.) Not technically a Cord Cutting device but I am looking forward to incorporating it with my Roku 3, Harmony Hub, and Google Home.

I generally like the articles on this site but this list was poorly put together. There are a ton of deals on TV’s at Best Buy, Wal-Mart, Target as well as other vendors and all you list are Roku deals and Amazon deals? Come on really?

But it’s a cord cutter website, not a deals website.

Have the Amazon Fire stick…it works however, it’s tricky to use. Not all programming comes in Full High Definition and some are non-english audio with english captions entitled “in English”. Netflix does the same on a few titles.

In the end, unsure which “cut the cord” media/service is the best but at this stage, it appears, Netflix has the best interface for viewing, pause, skip fwd/rev, fast forward/back etc. Amazon’s interface is too involved and won’t display the media content you are skipping to, only the minutes fwd or back. All of them however, have their limitations in content…choices are limited and lots of the media on the list is below A rated.

Chromecast is on sale at both Target an B. Buy for $20. I just ordered 3 Google Mini for $29. from BBuy. Free shipping + $10 gift cards for each unit ordered. Target has them for same $29 price but no gift cards.
Chromecast Ultra is $54 (think at both places.).
You can use Google Home and Mini to help control YTTV.
Google Home is $79 at both.
