CBS Will Fill March Madness Time Slots with Primetime Reruns

Now that the NCAA has canceled March Madness games, networks are left scrambling to fill the vacant time slots on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings.

This morning, CBS posted a CBS Program Scheduling Advisory. The schedule shows CBS TV programming slated to air in place of the NCAA men’s basketball tournament.

The schedule is made up mostly of reruns of primetime series. CBS will also be airing original episodes of MacGyver and Hawaii Five-Oon March 27, and original episodes of MacGyver, Hawaii Five-O, and Blue Bloods on April 3.

CBS notes that daytime programming will air as normal, in place of daytime games originally scheduled. The Price is Right and Let’s Make a Deal will air repeat episodes, while The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful and The Talk will air original episodes.
