On August 22, Comet is celebrating the birthday of sci-fi legend Ray Bradbury. Bradbury is known for his novels which included Fahrenheit 451, The Martian Chronicles, and The Illustrated Man.

To celebrate Bradbury’s birthday, the channel has a lineup of episodes of Night Gallery and The Ray Bradbury Theater, with episodes full of suspense, scares, and the supernatural.

Night Gallery is an anthology series that ran from 1969 to 1973, featuring stories of horror and macabre. (You’ll recognize Rod Serling, host of Night Gallery, from The Twilight Zone.) If you’re a fan of The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, and Alfred Hitchcock Presents, this one is for you.

The Ray Bradbury Theater is another anthology series that ran for two seasons on HBO from 1985 to 1986, then four additional seasons on USA from 1988 to 1992. The series featured dramatizations of short stories written by the author. Look for appearances by well-known faces including Jeff Goldblum, William Shatner, and Drew Barrymore.
