In April, Cord Cutters News officially started our fifth year as a news site covering the world of cord cutting. Now I am excited to announce some big news about how we are going to grow Cord Cutters News and a big party to celebrate our fifth year covering the world of cord cutting.
First, the Party!
On July 21, 2018, Cord Cutters News is planning to hold an afternoon meeting in Dallas, Texas. Most of the Cord Cutters News staff will be there giving you an opportunity to not only meet Luke but also the other staff members behind Cord Cutters News who make everything you see happen.
Why Dallas? We already have to be in Dallas that day. (See the upcoming “Cord Cutting Classes” section in this post.) Dallas also has one of the highest concentrations of Cord Cutters News readers, so we thought it would be the perfect place to celebrate our fifth year.
Mark your calendar if you are in the area, and watch for more details coming soon. I can say there will be some appetizers and punch but more details to come.
It is important to know that I don’t plan on this happening all over the United States. If you can make it, I highly encourage you to join us because I can’t promise we will be doing another meet up.
Expanded News Coverage
Today I am excited to announce that Cord Cutters News is expanding our news coverage. You will find we have added 5G and net neutrality areas to our news section. There is more to cord cutting news than just streaming services. It is also about how you get access to your streaming services.
You may have noticed that for months now Cord Cutters News has been expanding to cover more ISP, 5G, and net neutrality news. Now we plan to make this an even larger part of what we cover. So if you ever have a question about what is happening in the world of 5G or net neutrality you will have one single place to find the answers in our news tab at the top under Net Neutrality and 5G.
Cord Cutting Classes
Cord cutting can be scary when you first start. While reading about it online is helpful sometimes you just want to be in person to hear how to do it.
I am excited to announce that on July 21, 2018, Cord Cutters News will hold our first (in some time) Cord Cutting class in Dallas, Texas, at the Lakewood Branch Library. This is our first class in a few years, and we plan to use it as an opportunity to start a nationwide effort to help people learn about cord cutting.
If you are in the area, please come out and show your support. (Also, help answer some cord cutting questions?) I hope to see many of our readers there.
This Is Just the Start
