Scissors cutting a computer wire on gray background (wireless or blackout concept)Recently I wrote a post about what devices I use and another post about what streaming services I use; however, those posts just listed what I really use. Sadly, with Cord Cutters News taking up so much of my time, the amount of time I watch TV has gone way down.

Now even though I don’t watch a lot of TV anymore, I do test out a ton of services and wanted to take a moment to list some of the services I really love but just don’t have time for.

The following is the list of services I love.

CuriosityStream

I love documentaries and science programming. The Science Channel was one of my favorites back when we had cable TV. I have used CuriosityStream several times and really enjoyed it. Sadly I just don’t have the time for it like I used to.

When I want to binge on some great shows to grow my mind CuriosityStream is where I go.

Amazon Channels

This one is not a single service, but a collection of services. I love the Amazon Channels product from Amazon. If you are a Prime member, you can use Amazon channels to manage your subscription to services such as Showtime and HBO along with other great streaming services such as The Great Courses, Starz, and Dove Channel. I love the idea of not having to create new accounts, passwords, and enter my payment info. Amazon handles all of that.

Also they all offer a free trial, allowing me to easily try them out before I pay. This service gets two big thumbs up.

History Vault

I think I already established that I am a bit of a geek and proud of it. I love history, and History Vault gives me access to some of the best history shows anywhere. Whether you want to learn about the rise and fall of Rome or modern day mobsters, History Vault is the service you need to check out.

GameFly

This one is not just about cord cutting. I love gaming but also don’t has as much time to game as I did before Cord Cutters News and having kids; however, I still find time to get in a game here and there.

GameFly is a service I could only dream about as a kid. Get any game you want, and now they also rent DVDs! The closest thing we had when I was a kid was the Sega Channel. Anyone remember the ability to play video games over your cable TV in the 1990s on the Sega Genesis? This is a lot better, and a service I would get my kids someday.

Non-Cord Cutting Services

These are not really cord cutting services, but stuff I use every day and love. Hopefully this helps you find something interesting.

Audible

I have been an Audible member for many years and have over 200 books in my Audible library. I have the two books a month plan and go through them as quickly as I can. When working out or mowing the grass I typically have a book or podcast playing.

I know you can use the library or one of several other services, but I love the selection and the features Audible has to offer. Well worth the money. I cannot recommend this service highly enough.

Amazon Music Unlimited

This one I have for the family, and I have to say I am very happy with the new Amazon Music Unlimited service. I know I have talked about my love for the Alexa devices and when you have Amazon Music they become even better.

So that is my short list of other services I really love. What cord cutting services do you love? Do you have any suggestions that may not be well known? Leave us a comment and let us know.
