DIRECTV NOW Added More FOX & CBS Affiliates Last Night

Last night AT&T started to add Meredith owned CBS affiliates and Sinclair owned FOX affiliates to DIRECTV NOW.

Now, this may not mean all Meredith owned CBS or all Sinclair owned FOX affiliates will go live this week. Recently DIRECTV NOW has not been waiting to add every affiliate at once from a company but adding them as they are ready so its likely not all Cox Media and Tegna owned affiliates have been added. As best we can tell at least a handful of locals have been added.
One of the towns added Was Phoenix, AZ and with the addition of CBS Phoenix now has all of their locals live.DIRECTV NOW has made it clear that adding local affiliates is a priority. Every week they have been adding a few locals here and there. DIRECTV NOW is not alone in their efforts to add local TV to their streaming service. HuluPlayStation VuefuboTVYouTube TV, and others have all been rushing to add as many locals as they can.

There are still 0 local channels available on DTVNOW here in Knoxville, TN. Meh, at least I can access all the local channels via their apps on Roku. My wish list for DTVNOW: 1.) DVR Finally Released 2.) Access to the Watch TCM app and Showtime Anytime and Starz apps 3.) Local channels – of course, if DTVNOW says I’m no longer eligible for my $25 AT&T Wireless discount when the DVR is finally released all of this is moot as I’m cancelling the service instantly as well as my AT&T Wireless and going back to HULU Live and Metro PCS for wireless.
