DIRECTV NOW Adds Support For NBC on The Apple TV

Since launch NBC was missing on the Apple TV version of the DIRECTV NOW app. To watch NBC you had to access the DIRECTV NOW app on a mobile device or computer.

We never got a straight answer as to why NBC was not included on streaming players, but it seems to be a contractual issue.

Then a few weeks ago the NBC channel showed up for those who lived in areas that offer it on the Fire TV DIRECTV NOW app. And it now seems that Apple TV users also have an option to watch NBC content.

You won’t find it on the Apple TV DIRECTV NOW app. You have to sign in to the NBC app on the Apple TV.

Some have reported that they have to use the regular DIRECTV login, but first check to see whether you have a DIRECTV NOW login option when you authenticate.

Also remember that you need to live in an area where DIRECTV NOW offers NBC as a local channel for this to work. Not sure if you do? Check your DIRECTV NOW mobile app to see if you have NBC on the mobile version.

We are not sure whether this is a glitch or a mistake. We have reached out to AT&T for comment but have not heard back.
