DIRECTV NOW has a lot in the works including plans to support 4K, an Android TV streaming player, a new app, and the long-awaited DVR. Here is a quick look at the new app and DVR:

For now, we do not know the exact date the new DVR will be released, but all signs are pointing to AT&T missing their fall 2017 release goal. Now that should not be a surprise, bumps in the road happen with new technology that can delay software.

The question now is how will DIRECTV NOW hold up against the growing list of competitors launching their own live TV streaming service.
