This week DIRECTV NOW dropped BeIN from their Deportes Package. This leaves Sling TV and fuboTV as the only two live TV streaming services still offering BeIN as apart of their lineup.
DIRECTV NOW Deportes was a $5 add-on that included BeIN Sports en Espanol, Univision Deportes, Fox Deportes, and ESPN Deportes. The question now is what will DIRECTV NOW do with their $5 Deportes package now that it is down BeIN. Currently, DIRECTV NOW’s Deportes add-on comes with tyC Sports, Univision Deportes, FOX, Deportes, and ESPN, Deportes.
In a statement on their site BeIN said “beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS en Español regret to report that, despite our best efforts to reach a fair agreement, AT&T U-verse/DIRECTV has dropped both stations from its channel lineup. This means AT&T U-verse/DIRECTV will no longer provide viewers access to the world-class sports programming offered by beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS en Español.”
Bein went on to say “We are fighting AT&T U-verse/DIRECTV to move our channels into lower priced packages where viewers pay less, while AT&T U-verse/DIRECTV wants to keep beIN SPORTS in more expensive packages. Subscribers who would like to keep beIN SPORTS and beIN SPORTS en Español can visit Keep beIN on DIRECTV or call 1-877-789-1391 to file a complaint with their cable provider directly.”
