If you use DIRECTV NOW on an Apple TV, you likely have had to re-login over and over again. Now thanks to an update this week DIRECTV NOW has fixed that glitch.

According to a new splash screen when you launch DIRECTV NOW on the Apple TV, AT&T has fixed a bug that was causing the app to log users out.

Here is what the splash screen says:

Thanks for using DIRECTV Now! We are listening to your feedback and continue to enhance your TV experience. In addition to performance improvements, we have fixed a bug causing excessive log-out on Apple TV – now you can remain logged into the app without having to frequently re-enter your username and password.

This update comes a day after DIRECTV NOW suffered an extended outage that lasted several hours and affected users across the United States. One of the complaints against DIRECTV NOW was often a lack of communication. Hopefully clear, simple messages like this will become more common from DIRECTV NOW.
