Update: DIRECTV NOW is now back online.

Tonight DIRECTV NOW is experiencing their first major outage in months. For about 3 hours now DIRECTV NOW has been down except for some beta testers who say their beta app is still up. DIRECTV NOW has not commented on the outage and their Twitter account has been dark since the outage started.

Update: DIRECTV NOW just posted a tweet about the outage:

Update #2: We are starting to hear reports that DIRECTV NOW is coming back online.

Well, annoying these outages have gone from a common occurrence to a rare one that draws news attention when they happen.

Though as you can see the beta app is still up for many subscribers.

Cord Cutters News is closely monitoring the outage and will update this post when we learn more. We have reached out to AT&T for comment and will update the story when we learn more.
