Recently Cord Cutters News surveyed over 2,400 of our readers on a wide range of topics related to cord cutting. One of the main questions we asked is what streaming services our readers subscribe to. According to the survey, we have a bit of a shakeup among the most popular live TV streaming services from a year ago.
According to our Spring 2018 survey, 31.8% of our readers subscribe to DIRECTV NOW compared to Sling TV at 17.3% and PlayStation Vue at 15.9%. This marks a massive shift from our Spring 2017 survey. Looking back at our 2017 survey, Sling TV came in first place at 27.4%, PlayStation Vue was second with 26.6% and DIRECTV NOW was in 3rd place with 24.5%. Now in 2018, there are a lot of new competitors in the space with YouTube TV and Philo in the market.

The world of live TV streaming is still extremely young with more new services expected to launch this year from T-Mobile and Verizon. It is very likely this survey will once again look very different next year.
