Group of young people watching soccer matchFor about two weeks now readers have been reaching out to Cord Cutters News letting us know that ESPN3 is no longer supporting DIRECTV NOW logins on the ESPN app. ESPN3 gives additional access to ESPN content like games airing on ABC and games not airing on any ESPN channel. Now Cord Cutters News can confirm that ESPN3 has returned to DIRECTV NOW through the ESPN app.

Update: Some readers are reporting that they are still unable to access ESPN3. It seems that some devices are still having issues but web browsers at least in our testing are working.

Most live TV streaming services offer ESPN3 if you log in through the ESPN app. (A few, like Sling TV, also offer it through the Sling TV app.) Since launch, DIRECTV NOW has supported ESPN3and now once again supports ESPN3. Cord Cutters News reached out to AT&T for comment several times, but as of the time of this posting AT&T has not responded to our request for comment.

Now according to our readers, ESPN and DIRECTV NOW chat are saying the issue is a contract issue between the two companies. If that was true it seems that the contract issue has been resolved. Hopefully, this is the last of the ESPN3 blackouts on DIRECTV NOW.
