Disney has always known how to take advantage of having a massive following, and now Disney+ is branching out into its fan base by creating an online Disney+ Fan Community that’s by exclusive invite-only.
Disney+ sent out an email to select subscribers extending the invitation to participate in the community. From the looks of it, Disney wants to utilize this opportunity as a way to collect user data and get feedback and opinions through surveys and “other activities.” The community is set to be managed by a third-party source called Maru/Matchbox.
Here’s the email some subscribers found in their inbox:
If a private invitation isn’t exclusive enough, users who received the email then have to take a 10-minute survey to see if they make it into the second round of vetting before they officially become part of this closed Disney+ Fan Community.
