If you have been hoping that your local Fox affiliate would be on your favorite streaming services you may be in luck. Today it was announced that Nexstar Media and Fox have struck a deal to extend the group’s affiliations with the network through 2019.
With this agreement, Nexstar’s Fox affiliates will go live on many live TV streaming services platforms already distributing Fox programming. These services likely include DIRECTV NOW, PlayStation Vue, and Hulu. They could also in the future include services like YouTube TV if they come to these markets.

At this time no date has been set for when these markets will go live. So far it seems to be taking about 2 to 3 months after the deal is signed before we start to see the first locals appear on a live TV streaming service.
