FandangoNOW Celebrates 40 Years of ‘The Shining’ with a Stephen King & Stanley Kubrick Sale

This Saturday is the 40th anniversary of ‘The Shining,’ directed by Stanley Kubrick and based on the novel by Stephen King. To celebrate, FandangoNOW is having a sale on the 4K edition of the digital film for $9.90, along with a sale on “FandangoNOW Flashback” titles including Stephen King’s “Doctor Sleep,” “Cat’s Eye” and “Creepshow,” as well as Kubrick classics like “A Clockwork Orange,” “2001: A Space Odyssey” and “Full Metal Jacket.”

A FandangoNOW survey showed that 64% of Stephen Kings plan to watch or re-watch “The Shining” at home during the film’s anniversary week. You can join them with this limited time deal.

“The Shining” was directed and produced by Stanley Kubrick, who wrote the screenplay with Diane Johnson. The film was based on the novel “The Shining” by Stephen King, and stars Jack Nicholson in an iconic role as Jack Torrance, Shelley Duval as Wendy Torrance, Scatman Crothers as Dick Halloran, and Danny Lloyd as Danny Torrance.
