Season four of Netflix’s original drama 13 Reasons Why is set to premiere on June 5, 2020. Netflix released a preview trailer for the final season, showing the cast wrapping up an emotional table read of season 4.

The series debuted March 31, 2017, following the story of  Hannah, a young woman who takes her own life. Two weeks after her tragic death, a classmate named Clay finds a mysterious box on his porch. Inside the box are recordings made by Hannah — on whom Clay had a crush — in which she explains the 13 reasons why she chose to commit suicide. If Clay decides to listen to the recordings, he will find out if and how he made the list. This intricate and heart-wrenching tale is told through Clay and Hannah’s dual narratives.

The final season will show Liberty High School’s Senior Class prepares for graduation. But before they say goodbye, they’ll have to keep a dangerous secret buried and face heartbreaking choices that could impact their futures forever.

The Netflix original 13 Reasons Why has garnered a lot of viewership and success, despite being accused of being controversial due to its thematic glamorization of suicide and explicit rape scenes.
