Ever wish you could browse the web from your Fire TV? Now you can, thanks to an update to a popular Fire TV app.

Downloader is an app that helps Fire TV owners install popular apps not available from the Fire TV app store. It has just released version 1.1.1 with a built-in web browser. Now you can surf the web on your Fire TV and Fire Stick without needing a mouse or keyboard, making it a must-have app for any Fire TV owner.

This is the first version of the web browser. Elias from AFTVnews.com, the owner of the Downloader app, announced that more features will be coming including Favorites/Bookmarks.

The app does offer several features that make it a great browser for a streaming media player. For example, you can enable it to support JavaScript. As always if you know the link to what you want to download you can just enter that link and directly download it.

So the new web browser feature makes Downloader an app every cord cutter should try.
