FloSports, a platform for live sports streaming and original content, announced today that it is testing out a new Watch Party feature. With live sports slowly starting to come back, FloSports is making it easier for fans to watch together virtually.
The feature will be available on iOS and Android devices. “The FloSports Watch Party feature will allow fans to watch hand-picked live events on FloSports at the same time while in separate locations and chat with one another within iOS and Android app,” the company said in an announcement.
The feature is in collaboration with tech partner LiveLike and will allow viewers to share text messages and graphics in a real time chat screen to “supercharge the fan experience.”
Other features include:
- Active fan engagement: fans can earn points for rewards that can be redeemed for a variety of benefits
- Digital cheer audio: link crowd noise to actual fan reactions; audio can be played in-stadium or through OTT platform
- Influencer chat: Athlete and fan chat/discussion through platform around specific content
- Invite friends: Fans can create specific groups where friends can watch and chat about a game together in a private session
FloSports is available on Android, iOS, Apple TV, Roku, FireTV, LG Smart TVs, Samsung Smart TVs, Vizio Smart TVs, and Chromecast
