Back in early March 2017, DIRECTV NOW announced that they were giving away free HBO to all DIRECTV NOW subscribers who had an active DIRECTV NOW account prior to March 6, 2017.

AT&T said this was because they “want to thank you for being one of our most valuable customers and coming on this unprecedented journey with us.”

That deal for free HBO was for six to twelve months, depending on what DIRECTV NOW plan you had. A few months ago subscribers with the Live a Little and Just Right DIRECTV NOW subscriber packages saw HBO disappear. March 7, 2018, will be the last day for DIRECTV NOW subscribers to get free HBO.

Note: AT&T Unlimited Customers will continue to get free HBO.

According to the FAQ that DIRECTV NOW posted when this deal went live if you had already previously subscribed to HBO “The $5 charge for HBO will resume automatically after the promotions expire.”

The good news is you still have a few weeks to binge watch HBO with your DIRECTV NOW subscription, so make sure you hurry and enjoy because on March 8, 2018, this free HBO deal will go away.

Here is the email that DIRECTV NOW sent out to subscribers when this deal went live:
