Right now, Google and Netflix have teamed up to offer a deal giving customers half off a Netflix subscription for the next six months with the purchase of Google’s new Chromecast dongle.
With this deal, customers can get a Chromecast with Google TV streaming device and 6 months of Netflix for just $89.99. The Chromecast device is usually $49.99, so that means you end up paying just $6.67/month for Netflix which is just over half off the normal price of $13.99/month.
This offer is good through Dec. 31, 2021 for new and existing Netflix customers. If you already have a Netflix subscription, your account will be credited to make up the difference for the six months. You can purchase the bundle here.
The new Chromecast with Google TV dongle has seen a few updates from the previous version. What’s new this time is that instead of relying on your phone, tablet, or computer to cast media to your Chromecast to play on your TV, this new model comes packing an enhanced version of Android TV that’s called Google TV. And, along with the included remote control, this changes the recipe considerably. Instead of curating and selecting media via your phone, you can use this new Chromecast as a dedicated streaming device like you would a Roku, Fire TV or Apple TV.
