Google Fiber Adds Sling TV to Its List of Endorsed TV Providers

Google Fiber has partnered with Sling TV and is endorsing is as an affordable TV streaming option for cord cutters. Google says it’s always dedicated to providing customers low cost, reliable internet service, and “That’s why we continue to add streaming partners to make it even easier for Google Fiber customers to find your preferred TV content.”

The internet provider adds Sling TV to its list of preferred streaming services, along with YouTube TV, fuboTV, and the recent addition of Philo as great options for their customers to be able to stream popular TV channels and shows they want without having to pay for cable.

Sling TV offers two basic $30/mo. packages, Blue and Orange, which are significantly cheaper than most other live streaming providers. You can also combine the two Blue and Orange offerings is just $45/mo., and even customize with more add ons.

Sling TV has been winning subscribers by adding content to its lineup, including the addition of the Big Ten Network last month. Sling has also been promoting the Sling Free section which allows anyone to watch select live and on-demand content at no cost and with no credit card required.

Sling is the third largest live TV streaming service with its 2.46 million subscribers. Hulu maintains its lead with 3.4 million subscribers reported last quarter and YouTube TV recently reporting over 3 million subscribers.
