If you’ve cut the cord, don’t worry. You won’t have to miss out on a single one. There are several streaming services with a Hallmark Movies channel. Philo just announced that they were adding their name to that list. You can also watch directly through Hallmark’s own streaming service.

The History of Hallmark’s Christmas Movie Tradition
The Hallmark Channel aired its first Christmas movie in 2000. It wasn’t until 2009 that the full Christmas movie lineup was introduced by the channel.
The response was overwhelmingly positive. The Hallmark audience loved the original movies and the schedule that stretched out the holiday season even further. That audience has grown significantly with over 80 million people tuning into last year.
A PR rep for the company has noted that Hallmark takes the Christmas season very seriously. Christmas movies are produced year round. Scenery is a major focus, with each movie creating a winter wonderland and invoking all of the feelings of nostalgia. The goal is always to make the movies family friendly and appealing for a wide audience.
Since the traditional began, the channel has expanded their schedule to show movies for a solid two months leading up to Christmas, called the Countdown to Christmas, and has produced well over 100 original holiday movies. This year alone, Hallmark is airing 37 new movies.
